Dash cam video shows Walker police stop wrong-way driver on I-96

The incident happened around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 17 on I-96 near Alpine Avenue.

In the video, an officer is seen getting on I-96 to locate a wrong-way driver who was eastbound in the westbound lanes. The driver is found within minutes, and the officer can be seen turning on the lights and sirens. The driver disregarded police and kept driving the wrong way.

The officer turns around and pursues the driver while another officer responds to help.

It took about a minute for the driver to eventually pull over for police, who say they were arrested for suspected drunk driving.
