Florida deputies stumble upon drug deal while searching for fugitive
North Fort Myers, FL - Four people were arrested on Wednesday night after deputies stumbled upon an alleged drug deal while searching for a wanted person.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office said that deputies approached a recreational vehicle (RV) parked with its door open and lights on Hart Drive.
According to the Sheriff's Office, they intended to ask the occupants if they had seen the wanted individual, but instead discovered a drug deal in progress.
Body camera footage shows multiple baggies containing methamphetamine and marijuana located near one of the suspects’ feet.
Upon searching the RV, deputies reported finding a significant amount of illegal substances, including 116 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl residue, pills, syringes, and glass pipes.
The people arrested include:
* Robert Braithling: accused of trafficking methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
* Tyler Brown: accused of possession of a controlled substance.
* Joshua Clark: accused of possession of drug paraphernalia.
* Tiffany Glover: accused of possession of drug paraphernalia.
