Rim jobs..
Another dirt floor workshop vid - but this is a good-un.. It starts with the marking out on steel sheet slabs.. high quality South Korean steel. The presses exert massive tonnage in order to punch out pierces.. the steel looks to be about 11/16ths but could be a tad thicker - it's good stuff. The presses would probably have been what was given to them by the UK when the UK was modernising and Pakistan was emerging.. most of the presses and lathes are near a hundred years old but they can still do what they were designed for - awesome machines! Good filming so that you can easily see the stages and feel the oomph when the presses cut through the bastad steel.. the welding near the end left a lot to be desired .. rather than use a proper pointed hammer to remove the slag from the weld he used the next welding rod to remove it - lazy bstd.. he should have been told once that is not acceptable for it could damage the flux on ther rod thereby affecting the quality of the weld. Anyway, thank fk most of us have not had to do work like this. (although I did a few years forklift driving in a number of industrial sites)
