New body camera footage shows an Oklahoma City police officer shoving a woman during an arrest, leading to assault charges against the officer.

The incident happened in September. The body camera shows the time at 3:30 a.m.

The officer, Sgt. Rasaun Gordon, quickly grew frustrated by the group of people playing loud music on a speaker outside a home. The video shows him repeatedly telling the group to go inside the house, often using profanity, saying neighbors were complaining.

"Go the *expletive* inside, now!" Gordon said, shoving the woman.

"Hey!" the woman responded.

"Go inside, now," Gordon continued.

"Give me your *expletive* badge number!" the woman said.

"Do you want to — OK, you're going to jail. You just hit me. You're going to jail," Gordon said.

According to court documents, an internal affairs officer investigating the incident said the woman was shoved to the ground and hit her head. The investigator said the shove "exceeded any reasonable force" and said he later hurt her arm unnecessarily when he twisted it behind her back.

The report goes on to say that Gordon arrested the woman for touching him when that did not happen. The investigator also noted that Gordon later tried to release her and denied her multiple requests to speak to a supervisor.

Additionally, Gordon did not document the arrest as a use-of-force incident and was dishonest with what was documented.

He has been on paid administrative leave since a complaint was filed.

The Oklahoma County district attorney's office has decided to charge the sergeant with misdemeanor assault and battery.
