Newton County, GA - Newly released bodycam video shows law enforcement officers in Georgia coming to the aid of a homeless couple and their dogs.
The video, released this week by the Newton County Sheriff's Office, depicts Deputy McClarin, along with Officer Hobbs from the Covington Police Department, responding to a CVS where the couple and their dogs were found outside.
According to a social media post from the sheriff's office, the couple was "facing more than just a difficult moment — they were experiencing homelessness and living on the streets with their two dogs."
With severe weather moving into the area, the two pitched in to cover the cost of a hotel room and provided them with a bag of dog food.
"Their compassion and willingness to go above and beyond are a true reflection of what it means to serve with heart," the post read.
