Franklin County, OH - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office released dashcam and body camera video showing deputies chasing a stolen vehicle two weeks ago.

Dashcam video shows a deputy's cruiser pull up next to a 2025 Honda Civic at the intersection of Refugee and South Hamilton roads just after noon on June 5.

The light turns green and the driver of the Honda turns left. The deputy follows behind the Honda. The deputy activated his lights, but the Honda did not pull over.

The video shows the Honda weaving in and out of traffic, traveling in the opposite lane and running a red light.

The deputy followed the Honda for nearly 10 minutes before the driver tried to pass in between two stopped vehicles at the intersection of Tussing Road and Hill roads. The Honda struck both vehicles and flipped over on its side.

Two deputies got out of their vehicle and approached the Honda. At the same time, two Columbus Division of Police officers and other law enforcement officials arrived at the scene.

Bodycam video shows deputies and officers ordering the people in the Honda to get out of the vehicle. A deputy broke the back window of the Honda and the occupants crawled out of the window.

The sheriff's office said the Honda was stolen. The driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation. One of the passengers was released while the other was taken into custody, felony warrant out of Franklin County.

One of the drivers in the vehicles that was hit suffered a broken toe. The other driver was not injured.
