Bodycam video shows officers, K-9 nabbing Daytona Beach carjacking suspects

Port Orange, FL - Law enforcement officials released details Friday, Feb. 20, about a suspected carjacking that occurred on Valentine's Day.
Daytona Beach police issued a bulletin that a vehicle had been carjacked at gunpoint by four suspects. The vehicle was seen travelling on Clyde Morris Boulevard in Port Orange and was pulled over behind a gas station.
The vehicle initially stopped, then the driver decided to flee, and a pursuit ensued, according to police.
The pursuit entered Daytona Beach, where the vehicle eventually crashed into a road sign, where it became disabled. The driver, identified as Terrez Thomas (18), and one passenger, a 16-year-old boy, both of Daytona Beach, fled the car.
Two other juveniles, also from Daytona Beach, remained with the vehicle and were taken into custody. A police dog was unleashed and stopped one boy as he was running from the vehicle.
Terrez Thomas was also quickly apprehended by additional officers in the area.
During a search of the vehicle, a Canik 9mm handgun, ski masks, and gloves were located. All four individuals were arrested for armed carjacking, with an additional charge of fleeing and eluding issued for the driver.
