Florida deputies rescue 86-year-old man who'd been missing for 80 hours
By: Indian River County, FL - Dramatic video shows the moment Florida deputies found an 86-year-old man in a wooded area nearly 80 hours after he went missing while out on a walk.
The body camera video released by the Indian River County Sheriff's Office shows the dramatic rescue of Donald Keaton, who went missing Sunday after a walk.
A massive search was launched to find Keaton, with helicopters, drones, K-9s, boats, dive teams and others participating.
It wasn't until around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, when a sheriff's office drone pilot spotted a small heat source under dense trees in a heavily wooded area.
The video released Thursday shows deputies walking through the woods before discovering Keaton alive.
"I got him, I got him right here," one deputy says. "Donald, we got you, buddy. He's alive, he's alive."
Keaton was hospitalized but was reunited with his relieved family and friends, the sheriff's office said.
