Woman arrested after a Thurston County deputy PIT's a stolen vehicle

Pierce County, WA - A TCSO deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for having swapped license plates that did not return to the car. The driver failed to yield before fleeing at a high rate of speed on I5 into Pierce County.
As traffic began to get heavier, the deputy called out he was terminating the pursuit for public safety concerns before realizing the fleeing driver was boxed in by traffic. A PIT maneuver was utilized to end the recklessness of the fleeing driver, and they were taken into custody without further incident.
The driver had a theft warrant out for their arrest from Snohomish County, no driver's license, and the vehicle returned stolen out of Auburn.
The driver was booked into Thurston County Jail for attempting to elude and possession of a stolen car.
