San Francisco officer takes down suspect armed with a knife by a bean bag shotgun
By: SFPD Officer Baños-Menendez was recognized during our recent Medal of Valor Ceremony for his heroic efforts in apprehending a residential burglar after he fled from officers and at one point through a fire extinguisher toward them and brandished a knife.
Officer Baños-Menendez demonstrated great awareness and tenacity under pressure, ultimately leading to the arrest of this violent suspect.
