Dashcam video shows troopers chasing after ATM robbery suspects during high-speed pursuit in Durant
Dash camera video shows the moments Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers chased after suspects sought in connection with multiple ATM robberies in Durant.
Last week, Capt. Scott Hampton was in pursuit of a vehicle with four people inside who were suspected of multiple ATM robberies. Hampton's dash camera video shows the suspects driving into oncoming traffic and forcing other motorists off the road while they tried to elude the trooper.
OHP officials said the suspects ran multiple stop signs and red lights while traveling at high rates of speed, nearly causing bad crashes.
The suspects avoided multiple stop stick deployments during the chase before a trooper threw stop sticks and deflated one of the vehicle's tires. According to OHP officials, the suspects drove on the rim for about two miles before driving into a ditch and surrendering.
The video shows multiple law enforcement officers with their firearms drawn while taking the suspects into custody.
Law enforcement recovered about $50,000 from inside the vehicle. OHP officials said one of the suspects had an arrest warrant for murder.
