Bodycam shows van breaching police tape, nearly striking officers during standoff

White Center, WA - A suspected impaired driver barreled through an active crime scene in White Center three times Friday night, nearly striking deputies and sideswiping a patrol car as law enforcement officers focused on a barricaded domestic violence suspect, authorities said.
Deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office were responding to a shooting and domestic violence call at a home on SW 107th Way. The suspect was wanted for assault and believed to be barricaded inside.
Deputy Manjot Singh was among the law enforcement officers who blocked the surrounding roadways with their patrol cars and police tape while they worked to coax the armed suspect out of the home.
Despite the roadblocks, body camera footage released by the King County Sheriff’s Office shows a Kia Sedona heading into the restricted area.

“She’s coming through. Hey! Hey! She’s going through,” an officer can be heard saying on body camera video as the van headed toward deputies.
Singh said he was focused on the barricaded suspect when a colleague shouted a warning.
“I looked to my left and saw the car was coming right at us,” Singh said. “I thought, ‘Oh shoot, she’s going to try to hit us,’ so I quickly ran to just get out of the way.”
The driver sped off but returned a short time later, again going the police tape and patrol cars parked in the roadway.
During her second pass, she nearly struck a sheriff’s sergeant, who jumped out of the way, and sideswiped the rear of a patrol car occupied by a deputy, according to court records. The deputy was not injured, and the damage was minor.
“It was dark, it was raining, the roads were wet,” Singh said. “Completely reckless.”
Singh said the driver came back a third time, yelling from her vehicle and diverting officers’ attention from the barricaded suspect. Law enforcement repositioned patrol cars to prevent her from reentering the scene.
“For her to come through our scene, that just took our attention away from someone that’s possibly armed and barricaded,” Singh said. “Which is dangerous for the public but also for us.”
Hours later, investigators got a hit from a license plate reader camera in Lakewood. Seattle police located the vehicle just before 1 a.m. Saturday near Delridge Way SW and detained the driver.
Investigators said she smelled strongly of cannabis, had dilated pupils and slow speech, and had multiple marijuana vape pens in her vehicle. She admitted to smoking “a few hits” of marijuana and having a drink after work around 6:30 p.m., according to court documents.
The woman, identified in court documents as 28-year-old Allison Hadaway, was booked into jail on investigation of felony eluding, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, hit-and-run and driving under the influence. She is being held on $300,000 bail. Prosecutors are reviewing the case for potential felony charges.
In the recorded interview with Singh, Hadaway said she drove through the scene because she was trying to “make a point” and was “fed up with a lot of things going on around the world right now,” investigators wrote. She acknowledged seeing police vehicles and tape and later apologized, saying she was sorry for placing people in danger.
When asked why she did not stop after being told she was under arrest, she said she does not respect police, according to investigators.
