Romans: Dash and body show Columbus police officers being arrested for OVI by Ohio State Troopers

Romans was charged with OVI after being pulled over by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper for speeding and marked line violations at 1:24 a.m. Sunday on Northridge Road in Circleville, Pickaway County. Romans received an OVI charge, but his blood-alcohol content was not listed on the court summons and his charges were not listed on the Circleville Municipal Court website as of late Tuesday afternoon.

Romans is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Circleville Municipal Court, according to the summons. It was not clear when his next court appearance would be.

Romans was the 2022 Central Ohio Crime Stoppers "Officer of the Year."
