Wanted man hides in shopping bag to evade arrest

St Albans, UK - A suspected shoplifter tried to evade arrest by hiding inside a shopping bag.
Bodycam footage showed the moment police officers searching a property in St Albans found a man hiding underneath a duvet with a bag on his head.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said it had seen some interesting attempts to evade arrest in the past, but this was a first.
In the video, an officer can be seen asking a woman at the door to the property whether the suspect was inside.
"No," the woman responds, but the officer enters saying: "Can we come and have a look? Has he been around here at all?"
Elevator music is played in the background as the officer searches the house before arriving at a bed with an upturned shopping bag at the pillow end.
"How are you, mate?" the officer says, laughing, after he tears off the bag, adding: "Keep your hands where I can see them."
