Citizens help Las Vegas police make arrest in pursuit that led to crash

Las Vegas, NV - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) released new video showing how air support, officers on the ground and quick-thinking community members helped bring a dangerous situation to a safe end.
LVMPD said officers responded to a domestic violence call involving a reported strangulation on Tuesday, March 10. As officers worked to locate the suspect, police said he fled.
Police said the department’s Air Unit tracked the suspect from above as he drove erratically through the area. A short time later, police said the suspect crashed, leading to a foot chase near West Desert Inn Road and South Decatur Boulevard.
Two citizens who witnessed what was happening used their vehicles to help block in the suspect, assisting an officer in taking him into custody, police said.
Investigators said roughly five vehicles were involved in the crash and the suspect would later be arrested.
