Westminster, CO - A stranded dog was safely rescued after becoming trapped in a pond at a local golf course in Westminster, Colorado.

Footage shared by the Westminster Police Department shows an Animal Management Officer carefully rescuing the dog, named Luna, after responding to reports she was stuck in deep water.

With the pond too deep to safely enter, the officer used a leash and towel to gently lift the dog to safety.

After being evaluated, Luna was safely reunited with her family following the rescue.
