Two stolen cars were involved in a police pursuit in Edina when one crashed, injuring four young people inside, with the other driver fleeing the area this past weekend.

The Eden Prairie Police Department said it assisted the Carver County Sheriff's Office after officers were advised of two vehicles — a Kia and Toyota — fleeing deputies just after 9 a.m. Saturday on Hwy. 212 near Prairie Center Drive.

Minnesota Department of Transportation cameras captured the incident play out, showing both vehicles driving at high rates of speed as they headed east onto Hwy. 62.

Ultimately, the Kia crashed off of Hwy. 62 near France Avenue in Edina after Minnesota State troopers used stop sticks on the SUV. The Toyota is seen speeding off after the Kia drives off the road, crashes through a fence and smashes into a tree before coming to a rest.

All four juvenile occupants were taken into custody after they were medically evaluated at Hennepin County Medical Center. It's unclear what the extent of their injuries were.
