Kansas police officer gives water to dog stuck in 100-degree heat

Moundridge, KS - After a report was made of a dog outside in the heat without any water, Officer Ronnie Wagner with the Moundridge Police Department responded to the scene and found the dog tied up outside a home in the 100+ degree heat. Officer Wagner found an empty bird bath nearby and filled it with fresh water from his patrol vehicle for the dog.

Chief Jared Kaufman said officers eventually made contact with an adult at the residence and ensured there would "be water for the dog at all times."
