Indian villager screams as torrent of water swamps area after glacier breaks up

A dramatic video shows a villager in northern India running to higher ground today (February 7) and screaming as a torrent of water hits the area.

Dozens of people are missing and feared dead after a glacier broke up and destroyed a dam, unleashing devastating floodwaters.

The footage was filmed by Pradeep Rana in Pang village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

Amid the roar of the raging floodwaters, he can be heard screaming "Oh my god! What's happening?"
