Dallas Police release bodycam for officer-involved shooting that left suspect critically injured

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia has released the body cam video showing the officer-involved shooting that left an armed man dead in Pleasant Grove on Wednesday.
Police were investigating a report of theft at the Red Crown Inn, a motel on CF Hawn Freeway near Saint Augustine.
Police say when officers knocked on the door of the motel room, they saw the suspect, 41-year-old Clifford Osmer, trying to climb out of a window of the room.
Police reports say when the man opened fire on officers, they returned fire and critically wounded the gunman.
Dallas Police administered first aid to Osmer, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition.
Osmer will be charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a public servant, and additional charges are pending.
