Columbus, OH - The Columbus Division of Police released dashcam video Tuesday showing a fatal crash involving a cruiser that occurred on the city's west side over the weekend.

Police said around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, an officer was traveling eastbound on West Broad Street with her cruiser's lights and siren activated while responding to a burglary in progress.

The dashcam video shows the officer driving down West Broad Street and passing through several green lights. When the cruiser approached the stoplight at North Central Avenue, the light was red.

At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on North Central Avenue at the West Broad Street intersection.

The video shows a car traveling straight through the intersection to continue onto North Central Avenue, and the Chevrolet making a left-hand turn onto West Broad Street.

As the cruiser entered the intersection, it collided with the Chevrolet on its front driver's side.

The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead at 3:20 a.m. The Franklin County Coroner's Office identified the driver as 30-year-old Corey Tinnes.

The officer was also taken to a hospital, where their condition was described as stable.
