Pursuit suspect bails on foot, pickup on fire rolls back into patrol car

Clay County, MO - The Clay County Sheriff’s Office share dashcam video from the end of a pursuit recently.
Like many pursuits, the suspect driver got to a certain point and “bailed” on foot to out run officers.
As this happened, the Deputy blocked in the suspect pickup and engaged in a foot pursuit.
While the dashcam was recording, it caught the pickup catch fire and roll back into the patrol car!

The fire didn’t spread to the patrol car, nearby firefighters were able to knock it out quickly.
There were no injuries and the suspect was taken into custody.
