Extreme winds knocked over pedestrians and ripped roofs off houses in northwestern China.

In the video, captured in the city of Urumqi in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on March 21, pedestrians struggled to walk in the gusts of wind.

Another clip shows vehicles parked on the side of a road being hit and damaged by the roofs ripped off from houses.

According to reports, the speed of the wind reached 63 mph.
