Officers rescue man who drove truck into a lake in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County police officers rescued a man who drove his truck into a lake last week.

On March 15, officers from the Bay Creek precinct were called to Tribble Mill Park, where the man was experiencing a mental health crisis. Body camera footage showed an officer removing his tool belt and walking into the lake, eventually diving into the water to find the man.

“Take my hand,” he told the man.

Once the two reached the shore, several other officers jumped in to help.
