University removes pianist Li Yundi's photo from wall after he was arrested with sex worker in central China
A university has removed a photo of pianist Li Yundi's from a wall and threw it into a bin after he was arrested with a sex worker in China.
Video captured in the city of Shangqiu in Henan Province on October 21 shows teachers and students using a claw hammer to remove the photo.
According to reports, the 39-year-old pianist and a 29-year-old sex worker were caught in a residential community after authorities received tip-offs and they both have confessed to the illegal activity.
The Chinese Musicians Association announced that they had removed Li Yundi from their list.
Li was appearing on the reality show "Call Me By Fire", which featured 33 male celebrities competing to form a 17-member performance group.
After Li was arrested, the Chinese network Mango TV removed the first seven episodes of the show and blurred him out of the latest episodes.
