New Jersey resident captures moment huge bolt of lightning strikes One World Trade Center
A resident living in Weehawken, New Jersey, captured the moment the One World Trade Center was struck by a bolt of lightning.
Dramatic footage filmed by Weston Hatfield shows the monstrous lightning striking the spire of the supertall building situated in Manhattan just two days after the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
"We live near the Hudson River facing south and get to see many storms come through and then roll over to Manhattan," the filmer said.
"I've seen lightning strike the same building many times before; however, this one was, by far, the most incredible electric experience I've ever witnessed."
This video was recorded on September 13.
