Meet the man water skiing his way to a Guinness World Records title
To challenge the record for the most barefoot water skiing tumble turns in one minute you would need a pretty strong stomach, as Greg Sample from the USA completed a dizzying 33 full 360° revolutions during a recent attempt in Alva, Florida.
For each tumble turn, the talented water-skier needed to complete a full turn on his back and return to water skiing on bare feet.
Barefooting is a tough skill and over the years a few talented challengers have set records in the sport.
The fastest barefoot water skiing speed recorded by a male is 218.44 km/h (135.74 mph) by Scott Michael Pellaton over a quarter-mile course at Chandler, Arizona, California, USA in 1989.
The female record is 154.63 km/h (96.08 mph) and was achieved by Teresa Wallace (USA) at Firebird International Raceway, Chandler, Arizona, USA in 2006.
