Boy aged 16 arrested on suspicion of assaulting girl aged 6 in Rowheath Park, Bournville, Birmingham, England
West Midlands Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy after a girl aged six was allegedly sexually assaulted in Rowheath Park in Bournville, Birmingham on Saturday 18 September.
The six-year-old girl was with her family on the playground when she was momentarily lured into a nearby wooded area.
She told her mother shortly after on their way home and it was then reported to police.
The park lies in the grounds of Rowheath Pavilion, a Trinity Christian centre.
The police investigation is ongoing and officers continue to support the little girl and her family.
