Thousands of residents evacuate as flash floods submerge city in northern China
Thousands of residents evacuated as flash floods brought by recent strong rainfall submerged a city in northern China.
Drone footage filmed in the county of Dali in Shaanxi Province on October 9 shows over 300-million-square-metres of fields and buildings being submerged by deep floodwater.
239,000 residents in Dali County were affected by the floods while several roads and infrastructure were damaged.
18,408 residents have been evacuated and no casualties were reported.
