Wildlife enthusiasts hold reptile fair to teach locals not to fear exotic creatures
A group of reptile and exotic animal enthusiasts took over the streets of a city in west Indonesia to educate local people to be less afraid of the scaly creatures.
The fun event, held on October 10 in the city of Padang, West Sumatra, was enjoyed by both children and adults playing with snakes, iguanas, ferrets and others animals.
Dani, one reptile lover, said "The field reptile group is trying to educate the public on how to approach animals and not kill them."
Meanwhile, one of the residents of Padang named Novi said, "I was afraid of this reptile at first, but by looking at this and asking questions I can tell that reptiles can be tamed."
