Police carry protesters off the road as Extinction Rebellion attempt to block Lord Mayor's Show parade
Police carried protesters off the road in the City of London on Saturday (November 13) as Extinction Rebellion attempted to disrupt the Lord Mayor's Show parade.
Over a dozen demonstrators had sat in the middle of the parade's path ahead of it passing through. Police approached the protesters to ask them to move - some of them did, while others had to be carried away by police officers.
The protesters had taken to the streets on Saturday to protest against COP26, branding it a failure, and the City of London, which activists claim props up a broken financial system.
