Residents in Indonesia form blockades preventing COVID-19 vaccines from reaching their villages
A group of residents formed blockades to prevent trucks carrying COVID-19 vaccines from reaching their villages.
Locals in Manokwari District, Papua Province, were seen cutting down trees making a road impassable.
The residents were also demanding that the government scrap the requirement that every citizen entering and leaving an area must show a vaccine certificate.
Indonesia has surpassed 3.5 million COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.
